About Augusta Community Outreach Consortium
Uniting To Transform Our Communities
We envision vibrant neighborhoods in the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) where every individual thrives, supported by a united coalition committed to sustainable change. By adding “the village” back into our neighborhoods, we reduce barriers, increase opportunities, and create a lasting legacy of hope and growth.

Pastor Anthony Maurice Booker, a founding pastor of the Augusta Community Outreach Consortium (ACOC), brings a lifelong passion for preaching and community service to his leadership as the eleventh pastor of Broadway Baptist Church in South Augusta, a role he assumed in March 2020 after serving New Hope Baptist Church of Harlem for 23 years. With a history of growing ministries—establishing youth programs, childcare facilities, and missional initiatives like “Empowering People to Impact the World!”—he aligns with ACOC’s mission to transform lives through education, mentorship, prayer, and support.
Pastor Booker’s extensive experience in Baptist leadership, including roles as President of the Baptist Ministers Conference of Augusta and East Regional Vice President for the General Missionary Baptist Convention of Georgia, Inc., complements ACOC’s coalition-driven approach, as he works alongside other leaders to uplift Augusta’s neighborhoods with a focus on empowerment and unity.
